October 1st in the Haunted Garden

The Haunted Garden October 1, 2017.
Some near perfect Pumpkins were photographed on this wonderful, cool and sunny Sunday in the Haunted Garden.  I count near 40 in the patch this year, of all size and shape.  There are a few pretty large Pumpkins, but the ones I grow usually, although a bit smaller in size, (between Volleyball and Basketball perhaps…) are oft State Fair worthy in their thoroughbred like conformation.
Their color is always exquisite & vibrant, betraying the undoubtable intelligence dwelling within.

I am pretty sure Violet was born sometime in early October. So it seems fitting she should be celebrated today as well, along with the other magic that transpires on the first day of this special month. Here she is on her Birthday morning, happy to eat some grass, and chase a few of the first fallen leaves.

I will bid you all farewell now with a poem, and a happy wish for a wondrous and meaningful first day of October…
“The nights grow longer as Autumn’s coolness creeps in. Leaves will color and fly, happy and playful on a haunting Fall wind. But strangeness is also afoot, inexplicably tugging at your sleeve. It lays in wait, patient, becoming strong, and preparing, for All Hallow’s Eve…”

Thank you for reading and prepare for more. Soon more mysterious happenings will come to light… and dark.
